National Teachers Week is May 7-13, with National Teachers Day officially recognized on May 9.
We may know teachers for a year or more, while nurses may only be in our lives for a few days or weeks. Teachers inspire students to reach for and realize their true potential, nurses provide comfort and hope while administering expert medical care. Teachers are with us during the normal days of our lives, while a nurse may represent an unexpected event. But they share many similar characteristics as well for instance, they each have the ability to influence people for the better, to make a compassionate impact, and to touch our hearts with their dedication and friendship.
