make someone smileThe entire staff at French Florist is thrilled to participate in the 16th annual Make Someone Smile' Week campaign. This event takes place during the week of July 19 to July 25. This is one of the biggest charity events for the floral industry, and we think that flowers are a delightful way to make someone smile. Teleflora started this crusade, hoping to encourage local and family owned flower shops, to participate in this fun event.

Now, we're inviting and encouraging our customers to reach out and 'Make Someone Smile.' We're sure that everyone in our community knows someone who could stand to be cheered up. Think of your aging parents or grandparents, or people in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, or assisted living facilities. Think of children in foster care who long to belong to a loving family. Think of veterans who are down on their luck. We urge you to make a difference in someone's life during Make Someone Smile' Week.

Be Happy

If you aren't sure about what sort of flower arrangement is appropriate to give someone, we've taken care of that. We have come up with three fantastic arrangements that represent the epitome of cheerfulness and happiness. You can use any of our suggestions, or ask us to help you choose something.

What could be more cheerful than a smiling mug filled with cheerful yellow roses and daisies? Teleflora's 'Be Happy'arrangement was created for this occasion.

'A Bright & Stunning' arrangement is sure to cheer someone up. We've combined yellow roses, lilies, and Gerbera daisies in delightfully bright, cheerful, and summery colors in a clear glass cube vase. We add decorative grass to add drama and texture. The combination of bright yellow, orange, and shades of pink is sure to put a smile on any recipient's face.

When you know someone who really needs to be cheered up, our 'Burst of Sunshine' arrangement is guaranteed to make him or her smile. We capture the essence of summer by using a cube vase filled with rocks as the starting point. We fill it with a combination or orange and yellow lilies, roses, Gerbera daisies, and a few carnations. We add accents in the form of cattails or curly willow, and colorful berries or coffee beans. These colors are reminiscent of sunrise and sunset but are sure to let someone know that you care about them enough to make them smile.
