Yes. Luxury flowers are extra special, so you’ll want to make them last for as long as possible. Here are some ways for you to make your flowers last:

• Keep cool: Try to keep your flowers away from direct sunlight - ideally away from window sills.
  
  
• Refresh the water: You should look to replace your flowers’ water every day to help prevent bacteria from growing.
  
  
• Trim the stems: Every time you replace the water, cut around an inch off the bottom of the stems at a slight angle, and remove any leaves that may touch the water.

You should aim to replace your flowers’ water every other day - but change it immediately if you notice the water has turned cloudy. Bacteria can build up in the vase which can clog the stems of your flowers and affect how well they absorb water. When you change the water, it’s best to remove any wilting stems from the vase and clean it with warm, soapy water before you refill it.

While your luxury flowers will need a bit of sunlight, it’s common to overestimate how much they actually need. As cut flowers aren’t actively growing anymore, they don’t need as much sunlight as flowers in your garden. So, putting your flowers on a windowsill in direct sunlight isn’t good for them. It’s best to keep your luxury flowers away from direct sunlight.

How long your luxury flowers will stay in bloom and look fresh will depend on the type of flowers, and how well you take care of them. On average, your flowers are likely to start to droop after around five to seven days. Since some of your flowers will last longer than that, as some flowers die you can pull them out and with the remaining flowers you can rearrange them to create another beautiful arrangement.

We always retain the wonderful element of surprising the person you’re sending flowers to. If our delivery driver knocks on the door and there is no answer, our customer service team will call to the recipient’s phone number. If no one answers, we may call you to ask to advise. If our driver is at a business or residence where there is a safe location we will leave it in a safe place, and then leave a voicemail for your recipient to let them know they have flowers. We’ll leave our information as well so that they can reach out in case there are any concerns. In occurrences when we do not feel like there is a safe place to leave the flowers, we return them to the shop and notify you and your recipient, letting your recipient know to reach out to us to reschedule the delivery of a fresh arrangement at a time that works best for them.
